My Helper

Sept 24th:

Not one of her cuter things to say. But I asked Audrey to please be a helper and go get a diaper for Ava. She responded with "You're a big girl Mommy, you can get it yourself."
Brat.

Who do you shower with

September 17, 2009 -
My father was staying the night at our house to catch an earlier flight in the morning (to go hunting). He told Audrey it was time for him to go take a shower. Audrey asked if she could shower with him and he explained that he doesn't shower with girls. Audrey responded with "Papa, you shower with boys?!"

Rock, Paper, Scissors

Dave has been teaching Audrey how to play rock, scissors, paper. She's gotten pretty good at it, and actually seems to understand it. This morning they were playing and Audrey put her index finger out. Dave asked her what it was and she looked at it for a few seconds and thought about it and said "A Horse!". And apparently it beats everything.

My First Blog

So Audrey is almost 3 and talking up a storm. She has the funniest stories and says the strangest things. I figure I should start writing it down somewhere before they're all forgotten. And now Ava should be yapping it up soon (actually she is, but nothing I can decipher!), I'm going to miss all those cute little things that they had to say.
Sooo, here goes...

I'll start with the ones I can remember..
August 22nd -
While I was upstairs tending to the baby, Audrey was supposed to be cutting up coupons with her scissors. Apparently she got bored with that and decided to chop of a couple of chunks of her own hair. When I came down to check on her, I asked her what she was doing.. she said "I cut my hair!". I asked her "what am I going to do with you now?!". She answered matter-of-factly "throw it in the garbage"... Then I told her I was sad that she cut her hair, she told me "Don't worry, Mommy, I'll grow it back". Like it'll happen tommorrow...

September 4th -
Audrey was going to Nana and Papa's for the weekend. When I aksed her what she is going to be doing there, she told me she was going to feed the deer with Nana. She then explained to me "This time I'm going to be very very quiet so I can sneak up on the deer, jump on him and RIDE him!". I told her good luck with that.

As for Ava; she's talking up a storm. I plan on video taping it and posting it here. She doesn't say anything witty, yet (at least, I don't think so!), but she's certainly adorable when she's babbling.

More to come.....
